Back in the early part of 2012 Grahame Jnr had an impending redundancy from the Army after the latest round of the MOD’S cuts. In need of a new career, he discussed his options with his dad Grahame Snr who had served in the Royal Navy.
With a love of real ale and wanting to put their own stamp on it.
The name came from lengthy discussions , father and son, ex-Army and ex-Royal Navy.
Bosun’s Brewery had that instant ring to it which people would come to recognize and
Bosuns Brewery was born.
Late April the first Gyle was brewed aptly named “Maiden Voyage”. The brewery has gone from strength to strength with additional real ales and awards along the way.
. . .
In 2015, Grahame Jnr. decided that he wanted to do other things and has since left the business and moved on.
The Brewery has continued to provide excellent crafted real ales, introducing more new tastes, and seasonal beers.
We will continue to experiment with malts and hops for our current and upcoming beers.
